Glacier National Park : Montana Fly Fishing

Montana's Fly Fishing Headwaters

Glacier National Park straddles the continental divide and feeds the headwaters of some of the most pristine rivers on the planet. In Glacier Park, you'll not only find beautiful mountain-rimmed lakes and clear rushing streams, but you'll also find an abundance of other fun activities and recreation.

Whether it's hiking in to fish one of the multitude of remote and accessible lakes, or wading in from Going to the Sun road, you are sure to enjoy your experience in Glacier National Park. You can also try horseback riding the backcountry trails, a park ranger led hike, whitewater rafting on the Middle fork and North fork of the Flathead river, or even take an epic helicopter ride over the peaks and waterfalls of Glacier. Whatever you choose to do, your break from Glacier Park fishing will be rewarding.

Remember when exploring the wilderness in Glacier to use caution around running water and be aware of wildlife in your vicinity. We want you to enjoy Glacier National Park safely!
